This class utilizes curriculum from the International Assoc. of Fire Chiefs which cover a range of issues including ethanol blended fuels, storage, dispensing & firefighting foam principles for ethanol-blended fuels.  Traditional methods of firefighting against hydrocarbon (gasoline) fires have been found to be ineffective against these polar solvent-type (ethanol-blended) fuels, so new tactics must be utilized.
