Prerequisites: Essentials of Firefighting or EL-Fire Ground Support

This course will give hands-on experience with personal safety, rescue techniques, techniques used with equipment, knots & hitches, anchor points, harnesses & rappelling, rope construction, rope strength, litter tie-ins, belays, and extensive practical activities.

Students will need to bring: clean leather work gloves, wear ankle-supporting footwear, a helmet with a chin strap, safety glasses, and dress properly for all weather conditions.
