Emphasis will be placed on search techniques\, communications\, accountability/location and self-rescue procedures.  This program will teach the firefighters how to reduce the risk of firefighter injuries and deaths in Pennsylvania.  This class will enable firefighters to become more aware and familiar with procedures that may be used to prevent or perhaps lessen the seriousness of injuries or even save their lives. The tasks not addressed in this course are discussed in other courses. Age: 14)\nDates:  June 25th\, 2022; 0800-1630\nInstructor: Justin Koller \n(This meets the FF 1 Proboard test requirements.) \nAmerican Heart Association BLS Healthcare provider CPR/AED is a classroom\, video-based\, instructor-led course that teaches students the critical skills needed to respond to and manage a sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  As of June 2021\, we are only offering BLS Healthcare Provider instead of the Heartsaver.  The BLS can be utilized by EMTs and such to recertify as part of their certification requirements.      **There IS a test at the end of this!** \nAHA First Aid portion will still be offered to cover those that do not have a healthcare certification or are interested in pursuing their Proboard certifications.  Students will learn first aid skills such as how to treat bleeding\, sprains\, broken bones\, shock\, choking victims\, and other first aid emergencies. \nClick the button below to register your student.
