Age: 18)\nDates: 2025: September 20th & 21st; 0800–1700\nInstructor: Rock-N-Rescue \nCourse Description:This course equips emergency response personnel with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills to effectively assess and manage incidents involving hunters\, climbers\, or outdoor enthusiasts trapped or injured in trees. Designed to address the unique challenges of tree-related emergencies\, the training emphasizes a practical\, field-ready approach for small response teams (2–3 personnel).Participants will learn to conduct thorough size-ups of tree incidents\, perform safe access into trees\, carry out patient assessment and packaging\, and execute victim removal techniques using minimally equipped kits. The course emphasizes non-traditional methods for reaching elevated positions\, with a strong focus on safety\, resourcefulness\, and team coordination in remote or rugged environments. By the end of the course\, responders will be equipped with a versatile skill set applicable to most arbor-related emergencies within their jurisdiction. \nStudents are encouraged to bring their own full body harness\, rescue helmet\, and gloves. Gloves will NOT be provided. \nThis course will NOT be at the York County Fire School.
