Age: 16)\nDates: 2025: March 25th\, 27 April 1st\, 3rd: 1830-2230\, March 29th\, 30th April 5th & 6th: 0800-1700\nInstructor: James Rohrer \nPrerequisite: Age 16 and up\, Non-Expired CPR w/AED\, Non-Expired First Aid\, Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification \nThis program is designed to enhance the student’s ability to perform critical skill sets to meet the intent of NFPA 1006 Veh. Rescue Awareness & Operations. This course will present vehicle extrication theories\, techniques\, & challenges that involve common passenger vehicles\, to accurately & safely execute the skill sets required for professional certification of Vehicle Awareness & Operations. Topics include: rescue incident management\, simple machinery types\, extrication strategies & tactics for common passenger vehicles\, resource management\, stabilization systems\, hazard identification & control\, technical rescue equipment identification & application\, extrication tools\, methods\, & selection criteria\, basic patient care\, packaging\, & lifting & moving\, basic extrication techniques\, & applicable OSHA & NFPA laws & standards. This course is designed for the experienced rescuer with a strong working knowledge of technical rescue in accordance with NFPA 1006 Chap. 10 & 1670.
